Laserfiche Workflow The Laserfiche Workflow Suite can take your paper routing process and make it incredibly efficient. Laserfiche Workflow can automatically route documents to various locations, inform users when they have documents waiting, and even send documents back to previous steps if certain rules are not followed. The best part of electronic workflow management is the ability to always know where a file is in the process. Laserfiche has the ability to search and access documents in the workflow process at any point in the process. Utilizing these features can significantly, if not eliminate, the costly errors that come up in paper workflows like the misfiling or even the loss of records. The possibilities though Laserfiche Workflow are endless. Document Management Laserfiche fully supports electronic documents. In fact, Laserfiche will store any and all file types as long as the native application is installed on the local machine. Today’s electronic documents are many times in a working state. Keeping that in mind Laserfiche fully supports a check-in and check-out feature as well as tracking different versions of the file itself. Whether you use Laserfiche to work with live files or you use it only to store and retrieve the final finished copy, the process is streamlined and simplified. Document Imaging Laserfiche contains a robust capture engine that is second to none in imaging. Documents can be scanned from any scanner that supports ISIS or TWAIN drivers. The Laserfiche scanning interface allows the reviewing of documents before they are even stored in the Laserfiche repository giving the end users great quality control procedures. Documents can be scanned in batches, split apart, merged, re-ordered, and have the properties and metadata keyed right from this capture interface. Also included with Laserfiche are many of the high end image processes that you expect from today’s leading scanners. Processes like blank page deletion, auto-rotate, boarder removal, and hole punch removal are included with the Laserfiche. If combined with Laserfiche Quick Fields, Laserfiche can take your document capture to the next level. Quick Fields is a capture plug in for Laserfiche that can include the reading and use of barcodes, real-time lookup (via Windows ODBC), zone OCR, mark recognition, and much more. Imagine loading a batch of documents into a scanner and having them all go to the correct place in your repository with all metadata filled in. This eliminates the possibility of user error when entering information which costs you time and money. Security We all know the security of your documents is vital to the survival of your organization. When documents are entered into Laserfiche they are stored in a secure manner. Through Laserfiche access rights we can totally customize who sees and has access to what in the repository. Laserfiche Audit Trail is a plug in that allows the tracking of all events in the system. Administrators can run reports to see who viewed, printed, added, exported, e-mailed, modified, and much more in the system. Using security and Audit Trail you can rest easy knowing your documents are secure and being monitored.
